Itching to get OUT!!!

When I got home Monday night, Josie was dying to get outside. So we let her put her coat on and go out on the porch. I was excited so I could have a photo op. She didn't get to stay long but it got her outside none the less.

I bought me a lamp today at Target. They had it on sale for $19.99 and it took 5 40-watt bulbs. I was hoping it would work to get some more light in the living room for photos. I really like the "natural" light look but I think I'm going to have to start using my flash in the winter. By the time we get home and I have time to take photos, it's dark out and with our living room being logs and cathedral ceilings the light just isn't there. Anyway, here is what I came out with using the lamps.

Mama Carole made the kids some heart shaped cakes today and Josie was ready to get into it as soon as I told her about it.

Lazy Snowy Saturday

We got hit again with some snow this Saturday. I was glad it was on the weekend so we didn't have to get out. Daddy was gone all day long in it. Left early Saturday morning and was gone til around 8:00 Saturday night.
Josie and I just lounged around the house and did some odds and ends, here and there. We did make some sugar cookies but they didn't last long.
I got the 'ole camera out to play around. Josie was playing in her pink cowboy hat that she had got the night before at Michael's. Which while we were there, she kept asking where Michael was.

Then Josie had to take my camera and take some photos of Mommy. Daddy walked in the room while we were playing and she took some of him too. Pretty good shots for a 2 year old, if you ask me. Course I do have some of the floor as well.

Would tickle me to death, if she grows with the love of photography that her Mommy has.
Note to self: Make Josie a copyright stamp! LOL

Winter and Ice!!! We are through!!!

Monday evening we ended up at the beginning of an ice storm. Luckily we are some of the fortunate ones that did not lose power during this storm. But did get stuck home on Tuesday & Wednesday.
Tuesday made for a long day, Josie & I were both in a mood and by Tuesday evening I was ready to go to work.
Some of my "outside" breaks I took the camera with me.

And then these I took from in the house.

And then I can't have the camera out and not take a photo or two of Josie.

But Wednesday was great! We both woke up in good moods and stayed that way all day. That's a bonus!!! Especially in Mommy's department.
We baked some Cinnamon Cobblestone muffins from the Pampered Chef book for breakfast. Then later that morning Josie wanted to bake a cake, so we got her silicone bake ware out that "Santa" brought her for Christmas and she chose a yellow cake mix. They turned out so cute!!!

Then after nap we done some laundry, played, watched Hip Hop Harry. Then after supper we made the Rocky Road cookies from Pampered Chef. Josie helped me put the ingredients in the mixer and then licked the spoon. I turned my back to turn the stove on, turned around and she had the spatula back in the bowl getting her some more dough! I LOVE IT!!!! They were really rich. They have marshmallows on the tops of them and Josie picked them all off before eating one.

Also last night she was trying to catch the cat and some how her hands got wet. I thought maybe the cat had peed on her hands for some reason but it wasn't that. Still don't know what it was, but claimed the floor was "bleeding". So we had to get the floor a band aid cause it had a boo-boo.

So if you come to our house watch for the sponge bob band aid and don't step on it cause it's a boo-boo.
Our nightly routine now when it is time for her to go to bed, I carry her down like a "baby", lay in bed with her until Daddy comes down. Once Daddy comes down I give her a hug & Kiss. She has figured out that I won't stop her from hugging/kissing me so she gets to stay up that much later by kissing and hugging on me. She is also really big now on the "group" hug. So we all three have to hug at least 5 times before her going to bed. Girl, I love you!!!

2.5 yrs old

Today, Josie is 2 and a half years old! I can't believe how fast time is flying. One minute she was a little one that I could carry like a "baby" and now when she wants me to carry her like a "baby" she kills my back!
She is learning so much. Just last night, while she was eating her tacos, I had cut her taco into fourths and she picks up a piece and says "Hey Mommy, this is a triangle!" Dumbfounded and caught off guard, I told her yes it is!
She absolutely adores her babies. I don't know how many she has at this point and she doesnt' favor any of them. She plays with them all.
She is venturing out a little in her TV/DVD watching but still really likes Elmo. I am thinking this may be her 3rd birthday party theme. She'll always be into dolls & babies but I feel that the Elmo is soon going to be a thing of the past. Could be wrong, but that's what I'm thinking once she is out and about and with other kids.
She really likes to watch "I-Carly" right now too. Which Mommy likes that show.
Daddy and Mommy are in the debate now of whether or not to send her to preschool this next year. Daddy doesn't care either way but I'm afraid whichever way I go I will be doing the wrong thing. I guess that is motherhood though. Big decisions and I'm sure there is many many more ahead of us! I have until the first of March to decide this. Hopefully we will be able to go out to dinner together soon, so we can discuss this.
Josie will not allow us to talk to each other without interruptions. She is also getting really bad about talking and wanting your attention while you are on the phone. We are working on both situations. I definitely hope she learns quick on the phone deal cause that is the most annoying thing to me. I hate when you are talking to someone and that person is dealing with someone on the other end and unable to talk but does not hang up.
Anyway, Josie is doing great! And I love every day of her and "us"!

Digi In Deep V2.0 and Photshop Phriday Layouts

I am done with my class Digi In Deep v2.0 from Jessica Sprague. I was trying to get done before my photo class starts on Monday, which I am super excited about! I hope I learn lots.
One thing I have learned, is no matter what I try, no matter what I do, I always go back to photography and scrapbooking. Like I have said many times, I am obsessed!!!

Also, trying to get my Photoshop Phriday's caught back up.
